Kedarnath Temple:
Location: Situated in the Garhwal Himalayan range near the Mandakini River.

Significance: Kedarnath is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas dedicated to Lord Shiva and is considered one of the holiest shrines in Hinduism. According to legend, the temple was built by the Pandavas and is believed to be more than 1,000 years old.
Badrinath Temple:
Location: Situated on the banks of the Alaknanda River in the Chamoli district.
Altitude: 3,300 meters (10,827 feet).
Significance: Badrinath is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is one of the 108 Divya Desams, sacred shrines for Vaishnavites. The temple is said to have been established by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century.
