Kedarkantha Trek Itinerary (5N/6D)
Day 1: Dehradun to Sankri
Drive: Approx. 200 km, 7-8 hours
Begin your journey with a scenic drive from Dehradun to Sankri. Enjoy the changing landscape as you pass through small towns, coniferous forests, and the beautiful Tons River valley. Overnight stay in Sankri.
Day 2: Sankri to Juda Ka Talab
Trek Distance: ~4 km | Trek Duration: 3-4 hours
Start your trek from Sankri to Juda Ka Talab. The trail winds through pine forests, maple trees, and a few small streams. Set up camp near the tranquil Juda Ka Talab.
Day 3: Juda Ka Talab to Kedarkantha Base
Trek Distance: ~4 km | Trek Duration: 3-4 hours
Trek through dense forests and gradually gain altitude until you reach the Kedarkantha Base. Enjoy stunning views of the surrounding peaks. Overnight stay in tents.
Day 4: Kedarkantha Base to Summit and Descend to Hargaon
Trek Distance: ~6 km (round trip) | Trek Duration: 6-7 hours
Begin your summit push early. After a challenging climb, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views at the top (around 12,500 ft). Descend to Hargaon for the night.
Day 5: Hargaon to Sankri
Trek Distance: ~6 km | Trek Duration: 4-5 hours
Descend through picturesque forests and clearings until you reach Sankri. Relax in a guesthouse or camp and celebrate your successful summit.
Day 6: Sankri to Dehradun
Drive: Approx. 200 km, 7-8 hours
Conclude your trek with a drive back to Dehradun, carrying memories of an incredible Himalayan adventure.
