This combined pilgrimage takes you to three of the most revered shrines in the Garhwal Himalayas – Kedarnath (the sacred abode of Lord Shiva), Badrinath (the divine residence of Lord Vishnu), and Tungnath (the highest Shiva temple in the world). This journey is designed for devotees seeking a deep spiritual experience while enjoying breathtaking natural landscapes and challenging treks.

Full Detailed Itinerary (6 Days / 5 Nights)

Day 1: Haridwar/Rishikesh to Guptkashi & Drive to Chopta

Distance: Approx. 180-200 km | Duration: 7-8 hrs

Pickup from Haridwar/Rishikesh (airport/hotel) and drive to Guptkashi. En route, visit Dhari Devi Temple and the confluence at Devprayag. Upon arrival in Guptkashi, complete check-in formalities, then proceed to Chopta for an overnight stay in a camp or homestay. Enjoy the scenic drive and acclimatize to the mountain environment.

Day 2: Guptkashi to Kedarnath

Travel: 30 km drive to Sonprayag + local taxi to Gaurikund + 16 km trek

Altitude: 3,583 m / 11,755 ft

After breakfast, drive from Guptkashi to Sonprayag and then take a taxi to Gaurikund. Begin the trek from Gaurikund to Kedarnath (approx. 16 km, 6-8 hrs). Upon arrival, check into your guesthouse, visit the Kedarnath Temple, and attend the evening Aarti. Overnight stay in Kedarnath.

Day 3: Kedarnath to Chopta (Transition Day)

Travel: Trek from Kedarnath to Gaurikund (16 km) then drive to Chopta

Start your day with the morning Aarti at Kedarnath. Trek back down to Gaurikund and board a vehicle for a scenic drive to Chopta. Arrive in Chopta by evening, where you’ll spend the night in camp or homestay, preparing for the next leg of your journey.

Day 4: Trek from Chopta to Tungnath & Return

Trek Details: Approx. 8 km one-way (7-8 hrs round-trip)

Rise early and embark on a trek from Chopta to Tungnath – the highest Shiva temple, perched at an altitude of 3,500 m (11,500 ft). After performing your darshan and prayers at Tungnath, optionally proceed to witness the panoramic vistas from nearby viewpoints before returning to Chopta. Overnight stay in Chopta.

Day 5: Chopta to Badrinath

Distance: Approx. 220 km | Duration: 8-9 hrs

After breakfast, check out from Chopta and drive to Badrinath via scenic routes (passing through Joshimath). Upon arrival in Badrinath, check in to your hotel, explore the temple, and join the evening Aarti. Overnight stay in Badrinath.

Day 6: Badrinath to Haridwar/Rishikesh

Distance: Approx. 285 km | Duration: 7-8 hrs

After a final breakfast and morning darshan at Badrinath, begin your return journey back to Haridwar or Rishikesh. Enjoy the scenic drive as you reflect on your divine experience.
