Kedarkantha Trek Itinerary (4N/5D)

Day 1: Dehradun to Sankri

Distance: 200 km, 7-8 hours’ drive

Altitude: 1,950 m / 6,398 ft

Key Attractions: Drive through Mussoorie, Purola, Mori, and the Tons River valley.

Stay: Homestay in Sankri/Kotgaon

Day 2: Sankri to Juda Ka Talab

Distance: 4 km, 4-5 hours trek

Altitude: 2,700 m / 8,858 ft

Highlights: Dense oak and pine forests, frozen Juda Ka Talab.

Stay: Campsite near the lake.

Day 3: Juda Ka Talab to Kedarkantha Base Camp

Distance: 4 km, 4 hours trek

Altitude: 3,400 m / 11,155 ft

Highlights: Expansive meadows, views of Swargarohini and Bandarpoonch peaks.

Stay: Campsite with panoramic mountain views.

Day 4: Summit Kedarkantha Peak and Descend to Sankri

Distance: 6 km (ascent and descent), 7-8 hours

Altitude: 3,810 m / 12,500 ft (summit)

Highlights: Sunrise from the summit, 360° view of the Himalayas.

Stay: Homestay in Sankri.

Day 5: Sankri to Dehradun

Distance: 194 km, 7-8 hours’ drive

End of Trek: Arrival in Dehradun by evening.
