The History & Legends

Badrinath: The Abode of Vishnu

बद्रीनाथ धाम 'सत्य युग' का मंदिर माना जाता है। यहाँ भगवान विष्णु ने तपस्या की थी और माता लक्ष्मी ने 'बेर' (Badri) का वृक्ष बनकर उनकी रक्षा की थी। यह अलकनंदा नदी के तट पर स्थित भव्य धाम है।

Kedarnath: The Peak of Shiva

पांडवों द्वारा निर्मित यह धाम 12 ज्योतिर्लिंगों में सबसे ऊंचा है। यहाँ महादेव बैल (Nandi) के रूप में प्रकट हुए थे। आदि गुरु शंकराचार्य ने इस मंदिर का पुनरुद्धार किया था।
